Well!
This morning i got up at 8.20 for an 11am lecture. Why? At 9.30, as the shutters went up at the HMV on Oxford Street, i was there. I left clutching a lovely shiny thing. And the new Wildhearts album.
By 10 i was listening......
I hope all of you have heard it by now (maybe you won't, Llewelyn). If you haven't - you fuckin' should have!!!! It rocks like a big rockin' thing! From the Stone Age!! etc.. I mean, wow!!!! yeah!! fuckin' a !!!!! Junkenstein (has Ginger been jammin' with Max?!!), Anthem (as it says), Urge (heard it, loved it -crunching collision of harmony and dis harmony!!), Pissjoy (my favourite at the moment - rifftastic, mate!!), Soundog Babylon (what a chorus! Damn it...what a song! Rock rock rock), Heroin (sounds like they should have written it...) Thunderfuck (Nite Songs for the insane...!) etc....The critics should bow their heads in shame, the doubters should doubt no more. This isn't rock 'n roll...this is the future of rock 'n roll!!! Not since Blastronaut has anyone produced a record like this. Too much distortion? Go and buy something from the fucking easy listening section......
